Kids & Teen cooking camps at Uncorked Kitchen! Your kids can take a culinary vacation on a kitchen journey that will teach them how to cook, eat healthy, and also leverages all those math, reading and science skills they’ve been slaving away at all year—right here in our kitchen.
At Uncorked Kitchen, our camp sessions are tailored to help children & teens use their summer or holiday vacation to discover something new or grow their already piqued interest in food. Creating healthy meals, learning where food comes from, as well as the importance of nutritious foods are all part of the Uncorked camp experience. We offer a variety of camp sessions in single-day format to week-long camps!
BONUS: If that’s not enough, at the end of each day of camp, students take their delicious creations home to feed the family (serving a family of three to four).
Here are a few of the safety protocols we have implemented to support children, staff, and families:
- Maximum group size of 16 kids in the kitchen.
- Junior chefs will be cooking in the kitchen, have access to gloves if requested, and will be reminded often to wash their hands in the kitchens.
- All cooking participants will be cooking all of their dishes from start to finish; we will not have any group prepared menu items.
- To support more air flow, we will have the garage doors open as much as possible, weather permitting.
The finer details
- All camp sessions run 9:30am-12:30pm unless otherwise specified.
- All events are led by a chef instructor
- Max attendance is 16 (Camps fill up fast!)
- All camp weeks revolve around a pre-planned theme
- Essential kitchen safety will be taught along with culinary skills
- Tuition will be pro-rated for enrollment after the start of a camp week as long as there is space available
