Germany produces a myriad of great wines from both world-famous varietals and lesser-known ones, and are typically really terrific values. The king of German wines, Riesling, has a complicated reputation with consumers mistakenly thinking that they’re all sweet! In this class, we will taste all different kinds of Germany’s famed white grape, along with some other delicious white wines like Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, as well as their crushable reds mainly made from Pinot Noir (aka Spätburgunder). We will also break down how to read and understand the complex, detailed and seemingly indecipherable German wine label. With a landscape and soil makeup so unique, Germany is a viticultural area with so much to love and explore.

Our wine classes typically include a little something to help cleanse your palate, but we highly encourage you to make a reservation in the wine bar at least a full hour before class if you'd like to enjoy some small plates in the bar, or eat a light meal before attending.
