Three Asian Cooking Classes in Denver
Many of the guests who book our cooking classes in Denver confidently cook American, European or Mexican dishes, but they are a little less confident with Asian recipes. It’s easy to think Asian cooking is wildly different, but we’re confident you can learn to make Asian classics. If you’re ready to dive in, we’re offering three Asian cooking classes in Denver this month. Maybe you’d like to join us?
Few culinary combinations are as exciting as Mexican and Asian cuisine. Both traditions share a love of bold spices, fresh herbs, and umami-rich sauces—making the fusion surprisingly natural, and wildly delicious.
This Denver cooking class walks you through the techniques behind dishes like Southwest Egg Rolls, Japanese Fish Tacos and Sticky Rice with Mango-Chili Puree. You'll learn how to balance the heat of chili peppers with the depth of fermented sauces, and how to build layers of flavor that make fusion cooking so satisfying.
We didn’t forget the drinks to accompany the food. This class features a paired cocktail we think you’ll love: ginger margaritas.
Here is the Full Menu:
Ginger Margaritas
Southwest Egg Rolls with Black Bean Salsa & Sesame Sake Guacamole
Japanese Fish Tacos with Fresh Pico de Gallo
Grilled "Asian Elote" (Asian-Style Spice-Rubbed Corn)
Sticky Rice with Mango-Chili Puree
Sushi looks simple but it takes a little instruction. With a little practice we think you can master skills like the right rice-to-vinegar ratio, the correct knife angle, the ideal amount of pressure when rolling. This sushi making class breaks it all down step by step.
You'll start with the fundamentals: how to cook and season sushi rice properly, how to prepare fish safely, and how to work with nori without it tearing. From there, the class moves into building classic rolls…think California rolls, spicy tuna, and inside-out rolls…before finishing with a few more creative variations.
No prior experience required. By the end of the evening, you'll have made your own sushi platter from scratch, along with a skill set you can take home and practice.
Here is the Full Menu:
- California Roll
- Spicy Tuna Roll
- Inside Out Salmon & Avocado Roll (Uramaki-Zushi style)
- Temaki Zushi (Hand Roll)
- Green Tea Ice Cream
Thai cuisine is built on contrast; sour and sweet, spicy and cooling rich and light. Getting that balance right is an art, and this Asian cooking class is designed to teach you exactly how it's done.
The evening centers on a few cornerstone dishes of Thai cooking: a perfect shrimp pad thai, fresh spring rolls and marinated beef skewers with peanut sauce.
Your chef for the evening will walk you through the basics on all these courses and make sure you get help along the way. If you love eating Thai food we think you’ll love learning about it and getting some practice cooking Thai recipes as well!
Here is the Full Menu:
- Fresh Spring Rolls with Chili Sauce
- Marinated Beef Skewers with Peanut Sauce
- Shrimp Pad Thai
- Mango with Coconut Sticky Rice
