Practice Food Pairing at our Wine Bar in Denver

Wine has a long history of being savored and discussed endlessly. We all know the stereotypes; groups of high brow types in blazers using exotic adjectives to pin down each bottle. It’s easy to forget that all over the world, wine is an everyday beverage that brings enjoyment, flavor and variety to a meal. That’s what our wine bar in Denver is all about. You don’t need a sommelier’s credential to enjoy the extensive wine bar at Uncorked Kitchen.
Today we want to introduce the concept of food pairing at your own pace. We’re known for our wine collection and our kitchen, but many guests forget that we offer meals and appetizers right at the wine bar. We encourage you to practice pairing the menu items with a glass of wine or a flight if you’re interested in food pairing. Here are a few examples:
You could pair the Pan Seared Salmon on the menu with a Wohlmuth Sauvignon Blanc from Austria. The spicy opening flavor will lend some zest to the fennel and lemon flavors which accompany the salmon.
If you’re drawn to red grape varieties, maybe you can let the dark fruit flavors of the La Chiazza Super Tuscan from Italy tone down the spice from your Buffalo Chicken Caesar Sliders.
These are just a few of the combinations you can play with on the food menu, which has nearly twenty options to choose from, and the wine list is much longer than that. Come satisfy your palate as well as your flair for the creative any afternoon or evening in the wine bar. We look forward to helping you explore wine and continue your wine appreciation journey.
