New Vegetarian Cooking Classes in Denver

Vegetables

Spring is almost here, and we have two new vegetarian cooking classes in Denver to help you transition. Our first class teaches you a few hearty vegetarian recipes for the last of the cold weather and our second offers some helpful recipes you will love that take the focus away from meat and onto the grains and vegetables.

Whether you're looking to broaden your recipe repertoire, cut back on meat, or simply spend an evening doing something hands-on and delicious, there's something on offer this spring for every level of home cook.

Vegetarian Winter Comfort Food

Just because the weather is warming up doesn't mean you have to give up comfort food. This class is all about hearty, satisfying vegetarian dishes that feel indulgent without the meat.

This vegetarian cooking class has a three course meal that will leave you satisfied and will also give you some hearty recipe ideas you can use all year. Here is what you can look forward to:

  • Carrot Ginger Soup with Crème Fraîche and Pepitas
  • Marinated Portobello Sandwich with Kale-Walnut Pesto and Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Red Wine Apple Hand Pies

One complaint you may hear about vegetarian cooking is that it’s, ‘not filling’ or ‘not satisfying’, but we can assure you…that won’t be an issue here. If you are vegetarian or want to expand your recipe list, we are confident that you’ll love this event and the food.

Weekday Vegetarian

Whether you’re vegetarian or not it can be easy to slide into the habit of shortcuts. If you rely on frozen entrees or quick-prep meals you can get food on the table quickly, but it’s not quite as satisfying as a scratch made lunch or dinner.

However, there are recipes that don’t take ages to prepare and will give your household a fresh, delicious meal that is also nutritious. Our ‘Weekday Vegetarian’ cooking class in Denver is all about that happy medium. Join us to create:

  • Cream of Brussel Sprout Soup with Sweet Potato Biscuits
  • Quinoa and Black Bean Burgers
  • Lemon Sorbet

Yes, this three course meal might be a little more ambitious than what you’re going to make on Tuesday after soccer practice, but knowing how to prepare these three courses allows you to make them (and similar recipes) any time you want. Your kids…your partner…your friends will love the effort that goes into the meal and they may just be impressed with your new kitchen skills.

If either (or both) of these vegetarian cooking classes sound good to you, don’t wait too long! They are here this March and April, but they may not be back for a while and spots are limited. Head to our events page to reserve your place in either the Winter Comfort Food class or the Weekday Vegetarian class--or any class that grabs your attention. We’ll see you in the kitchen!
