New Dates for July Cooking Camps in Denver

Don’t worry, there is still time to sign up for our July cooking camps in Denver. Running in the last week of July, these hands-on sessions are designed for kids who want to learn new cooking techniques. This cooking camp in Denver features vibrant flavors from Latin American cuisine. Your young chefs will navigate the smoky heat of Tex-Mex to the fresh, herb-forward dishes of South America.

Whether your kids are complete beginners or budding chefs looking for new skills, these cooking camps offer a fun and immersive way to explore a part of the culinary world that doesn't get nearly enough attention.

What You'll Learn at Our Denver Cooking Camps

Our July cooking camps cover four distinct regional cuisines, each with their own ingredients, techniques, and traditions. Here's a closer look at past themes that we may feature this month as well.

Tex-Mex is comfort food at its finest—think smoky fajitas, loaded nachos, and sauces that pack just the right amount of heat. You'll learn how to balance bold spices, work with dried chilies, and master a few crowd-pleasing classics that are just as good for weeknight dinners as they are for entertaining.

Central American cooking is deeply rooted in fresh, simple ingredients. From Guatemalan pepián to Salvadoran pupusas, you'll discover dishes built on corn, beans, and herbs that have been passed down through generations. These are recipes that reward patience and attention to detail.

South American cuisine is incredibly diverse, spanning everything from Peruvian ceviche to Argentinian chimichurri. In these sessions, you'll explore techniques like marinating, slow cooking, and building layers of flavor; skills that translate well beyond a single recipe.

Mexican food runs much deeper than tacos and guacamole (although we cover those too). In the past we’ve made tortillas from scratch as well as cooking the sauces and entrees that make Mexican food famous.

All camps take place during the last week of July in Denver. Spots are still available, but they're filling up fast—so now is the time to lock in your place.

Each session is designed to be small and hands-on, meaning the kids spend more time cooking and less time watching. Instructors are there to guide you through each dish, answer questions, and help you build confidence in the kitchen.

Who Are These Camps For?

These camps are open to all skill levels and the age range is listed in the cooking camp title. Your young chefs don't need any formal training or prior experience with Latin cuisine, just a curiosity for food and a willingness to get your hands dirty (in the best possible way).

The end of the month is coming up quickly, and these cooking camps won't stay open much longer. If you've been thinking about signing up, this is your nudge to do it. Your young chefs will love their time in the kitchen and they’ll come home with new recipes to share with the family.
