Wine Class: Central Italy
Details
In this class, we will explore the lesser-known regions of Central Italy that are at times in the shadows of Tuscany. These include Emilia-Romagna, known as the “food capital of Italy” (home to Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, Prosciutto di Parma and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena), but also makes Lambrusco, the delicious - and often misunderstood - sparkling red wine. We will also discover the incredible, unique, and frankly undervalued wines of Umbria and Le Marche. Lastly, we will dive into Abruzzo, known for their wines made from the juicy Montepulciano grape - and not to be confused with the Tuscan region Vino Nobile di Montepulciano!!
Our wine classes typically include a little something to help cleanse your palate, but we highly encourage you to make a reservation in the wine bar at least a full hour before class if you'd like to enjoy some small plates in the bar, or eat a light meal before attending.
