LINDSAY JOYCE - CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA- DEGREE IN BAKING AND PASTRY

Lindsay says that her love of food started early on in life, as her father made home cooked meals each night and mom always made sure they had treats and a hearty dinner on weekends. 

As she got older and her love for food and trying new things grew, she started her culinary education through a vocational program at Boise State University. After a year and a half in a smaller program, she was ready to move on to the big leagues. 
Working in small local bakeries, she applied and was accepted to the Hyde Park, New York’s Culinary Institute of America. After two years of education, an internship, and experiences in different restaurants, she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts.
After graduation, she moved to Colorado in the fall of 2010 and began baking her way around the city and working in cafes and bakeries for the next four years. 
She discovered a passion for teaching the art of baking to a friend one summer, and after leaving a baking position, she decided to pursue that passion of helping others learn to create great food by taking a position with a recreational cooking school. 
In 2015, the opportunity to help open Uncorked Kitchen as the Assistant Manager came along, and Lindsay was brought on board at the ground level to stand alongside Katie and Eric Robbins as they launched Uncorked Kitchen. You can find her just about anywhere in the business, from helping in the bar, taking phone calls and helping you sign up for your upcoming experience here at Uncorked, booking your next private event, and greeting you for your 1st or 50th visit here at Uncorked Kitchen. She aims to create a welcoming atmosphere and help you have fun and feel comfortable during your visit to Uncorked!
