At Uncorked Kitchen Instead of focusing on only dining, as a restaurant traditionally does, or solely on instruction, as with a cooking school—Uncorked Kitchen combines the two into one entertaining food experience. More than that, it is a place that accentuates for each and every customer the potential magic that’s possible when people reconnect around food in the kitchen—a new food experience that allows customers to participate, learn, and share together—as cooks, as students, and of course, as diners.

CHEF/INSTRUCTOR

Uncorked Kitchen is hiring a Chef Instructor who must be able to deliver an exceptional cooking and dining experience, while providing an entertaining, educational, and completely unique food experience that allows our customers to participate, learn, and share together.

Desired Traits:

  • Must have outgoing personality and be the life of the party, must be engaging and be able to get those around excited about food, cooking, dinning, and the magic of the kitchen environment
  • Be unique, interactive, engaging, gourmet, educational, imaginative, adventurous, full of laughter, and live for creating experiences that are both shared and worth sharing.
  • Be able to offer a totally unique cooking and dinning experience

Experience:

  • 2 Years kitchen operations experience (in a fine dining environment, preferred).
  • Culinary degree or equivalent Sous Chef experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Valid Food Handlers / Food Managers Certification.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

ASSISTANT FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

Uncorked Kitchen is looking to hire an Assistant Front of House Manager who has the energy, charisma, professionalism and refined nature to be the face of our business.  Not only will this person be managing staff, handling administrative duties but first and foremost they will be in charge of the customer experience from the time they visit our website, to the phone interaction to the customer walking through the front door.

Assistant Front of House Manager Position Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience as administrative or executive assistant
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ years customer service management role
  • Ability to develop and maintain organizational systems
  • Demonstrates a warm, friendly, helpful demeanor that shines through in face-to-face and phone interactions
  • Ability to handle customer demands with compassion and understanding while adhering to specific business practices and policies
  • Self-confidence to problem solve and think independently
  • Ability to handle stress well and handle a variety of problems with professionalism.
  • Demonstrate ability to delegate and create systems for follow up with employees.

Assistant Front of House Position Duties

  • Works closely with FOH Manager to set goals and deadlines for deliverables.
  • Management of the customer experience from start to finish.
  • Responsible for training and scheduling the customer service team.
  • Responsible for upholding and implementing company HR policies.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all functional areas related to FOH.
  • Adept at assigning responsibilities to staff and meeting deadlines along with being a great motivator.
  • Maintains customer service staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions.
  • Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
  • Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures

CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

When our customers have questions, complaints or suggestions about our services or products, they turn to customer support specialists for answers. Customer Support Specialists provide specific information regarding the services, products, and/or materials offered by Uncorked Kitchen. They answer phones, handle customer service issues, and open and close customer accounts. In summary, they are the direct link between a company and its existing and potential customers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and handle customer interaction.
  • Resolve conflict with customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of entryway, lobby area, and 1st floor bathrooms.
  • Escort customers to their assigned teaching kitchen or wine bar.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the services offered and be able to articulate all programs, costs, policies and booking procedures.
  • Communicate to the kitchen staff any last minute additions or changes to the class roster
  • Maintain retail items and inventory.
